NINA DESLOGE-DAY, BS
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor
Originally from St. Louis Missouri, Nina Desloge Day moved to Sarasota in 2002 by way of Atlanta, Georgia. Educated in St. Louis, Nina has a Bachelors of Science in Marketing from Fontbonne University. Nina is a fully certified Stott Pilates instructor in Matwork, the Reformer, the Stability Chair, Barrels and the Cadillac. Nina also has additional training in Injury and Special Populations (ISP) as well as Athletic Conditioning training. Nina is continually enhancing her Pilates education through workshops and the latest industry trends from fitness gurus such as Tracey Anderson and Brooke Burke. Nina has also trained with the top Pilates professionals from coast-to-coast including Jillian Hessell in Los Angeles and Kristin McGee in New York City.
Nina is also trained as a Health Coach from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She is Level One Yogafit trained, RYT 200, Reiki Level One and has specialized training in the Lagree Fitness Method.
Nina has worked with beginner students to elite athletes and everything in between. She also has the training and years of experience with Special Populations including those with MS, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, back pain, artificial joints, and post rehab clients.
Her teaching focuses on the breath and proper alignment and allowing her clients to move through space with total awareness and ease. It is this awareness and ease that brings to life the joy of doing Pilates and Nina’s passion for teaching it.
When not teaching Pilates, Nina enjoys hot yoga, cycling, tennis, traveling and open water swimming. She lives full-time in Sarasota with her husband Art and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Winston.
